Based on the epic summer blockbuster that Hollywood never produced, "Explorers of the Unknown: Disastergeddon!" is an apocalyptic adventure that puts disaster-porn cinema everywhere to shame!
After a trio of paranormal investigators discover a living, breathing Tyrannosaurus Rex in the backyard of a suburban home, their reality begins unraveling at a rapid pace. Matter is manifesting mysteriously and our heroes must unlock a secret that will take them to the heart of the galaxy and the edge of imagination. Fast-paced and funny, "Disastergeddon!" is a follow-up to "Explorers of the Unknown: Vampires!" and takes place in the same universe as Krumbine's "Zaphod Zombie: Living Impaired Among the Unimpaired Living" and "BORC-9: A Story About a Boy and His Trash Can". This book introduces new characters (including the stunning new assistant with a surprising second-act twist) and a villainous alien species called Zangledorfs. |

The Explorers of the Unknown are a team of paranormal investigators who recently saved humanity from being enslaved by a maniacal alien who traveled to Earth's past (the Wild West to be exact) to conquer the world. Between being depressed because all the action and adventure of Bob's Big Thing (don't ask) was finally behind them and the fact that the usually unusual City of Greenville was being oddly normal, Jason, Jordan, and Chris were having a bit of a tough time.
Until, that is, a stranger in a dark alley tips them off about a rash of peculiar vampire activity at the Greenville University Library. At which point, everything goes promptly to hell. Joined by Babs the Vampire Slayer (no relation) and her quasi-stalker, Sam Glass, the Explorers of the Unknown must uncover the truth behind the library vampires and reveal a nefarious plot before it's too late. |

This book is full of misunderstandings or as we say in French "quiproquos". What less could you expect from that funny weirdo? See, Explorer of The Unknown is kind of the incarnation of the series Supernatural passing through Jordan Krumbine's wicked mind: Confusing and funny! You'll never see vampires the same way and you'll ask for more at the end of the book which is a little rushed to my taste. I think it's the only thing that could has been different. Oh wait, there's a sequel? Then it really doesn't matter!

Sometimes you just get sick of the same old story. Thankfully, "Explorers of the Unknown-Vampires" is Not the same old story. Jordan Krumbine has an imagination that just won't quit, nor will it settle for the norm, as EOTUV definitely takes you into a completely different reality, which even turns itself on end before you get to the last page. Well done!

This book is WEIRD, FUN and FREAKING AWESOME. The writer is very imaginative which makes this a wildly fun read. But he's also seriously wordy, in an educated way, which makes it worth the read.
