ANGRY EYES! 08/30/2009
The video above is from youtuber Renetto. If you don't know who he is, well, the simplest explanation is that he's one of the "big ones", in terms of vloggers, and one of the first youtube partners. In the video above, which was posted August 15th, Renetto presents a call to action for a more collaborative youtube. His concept, which is about as loose as concept s go, is to have people post video responses about a collaborative youtube video/experience. Somehow, I managed to stifle my laughter. Seriously, I LOVE how the little guy wallows in mediocrity with his high-concept, collaborative projects, and as soon as a youtube partner with a few tens of thousands of subscribers has an idea along the same creative venue--BOOM--say hello even MORE obscurity. I posted two videos as responses to Renetto's. These videos, in my opinion, are shining examples of what a creative, collaborative youtube should be. It is unlikely that Renetto will view this videos, much less accept them as video responses ... even more unlikely is the random chance that this youtube partner recognizes the quality of collaborative work that he is now trying to duplicate. But that's pretty much how the story goes, isn't it? Click past the break to take a look at two of the finest collabs on youtube. CommentsMon, 31 Aug 2009 12:15:42 am I disagree Jordan. Paul usually does view and comment on video responses. I don't think you'll have to hold your breath too long. Denitson Tue, 01 Sep 2009 12:01:49 am I agree with you Jordan,he most likely wont accept your video responses and even less likely acknowledge you,He needs to make people believe in his Oh So awesome New idea, that's not so new. Tue, 01 Sep 2009 3:26:47 pm I didn't know who he was either until Depointless called him out on his ch-it. If there are a lot of videos, he may not see it, else I don't see why that would be the case. But if he DOES see it... what will happen anyway? It's not like he's going to understand what you do how you do it unless he's passionate (which I doubt he is... I presume this stems from a way to be more popular) and I don't think you would benefit all that much from him.. either by input from his end or in any other way. Leave a Reply |
