Despite a lack of blogging here (and, for the first time, a missed update on Zaphod Zombie--egads!), there's actually quite a lot happening in the blog network.

But first: you might not have noticed, but I've been posting Zaphod Zombie on the Explorer of the Unknown's off-days.  This update schedule was never officially set in stone, but it's been consistent for two weeks or so.  Up until now, that is.

So why didn't I post a new strip today?  Mainly because I haven't made it yet.  Oh, sure, the damn thing has been written (I think I have up through 19 written) but I just haven't put together the panels yet.  I would have done it last night--which is generally when I do the panels, the night before--but by the time 9pm hit, I was bushed and decided to take a break.

I've gotten back on the bicycle.  Aggressively, I might add.  In addition, I've also been lifting weights.  On top of the mild physical exhaustion I was feeling last night, I had spent the evening running around and picking up much needed supplies for my eventual reorganization of rooms as well as a new TV.

Yeah, that's right, I bought a new television last night.  It's been something I've been thinking about for a while now and I finally had a substantial amount of cash set aside for the purchase.  My trip to the store (and my subsequent bee-line for the open-box sale items) resulted in a $1500, 52" Samsung 1080p LCD that I purchased for $1000.

The living room is somewhat brighter now.

Of course, this is not the only television in the house, and acquiring this one for the living room meant shuffling all the sets around.  Which explains the rest of my exhaustion and why I ended up calling it an early night and why you don't have a new Zaphod Zombie comic today.

                                                Sorry.

Check out what else is happening in the world of the Horbawrong Blogging Network after the break!
Obsquatch must have been bitten by a blogging bug or something because the once sporadic poster has consistently been posting content for a few days straight now.  His posts have ranged from the joy of spying on your site visitors to random bits of dialogue (which I absolutely loved!).  My favorite, however, has been his post titled "Fear of Death" wherein he comes to the conclusion that he's not going to fear death anymore.  Between Obsy's post and Lupine's comments, it really struck a chord in me.  I've thought about it before and even now, I can't say that I fear death.  Like, even if it happened tomorrow, I have no apprehension over it.  I'm a little worried any pain that might come along with death--ah, hell, it'll end awfully quickly, right?  Point is that the eventuality of not being here anymore doesn't worry me.  You?

Number 2 blogger on the list is Heather-Maria ... and she's been as productive as Obsquatch (maybe they're starting to take their cues from each other?  Is this true love blossoming before our eyes?!).  In the past few days, Heather took a firm stance on commentor who's been less than pleasant, posted the first part of a story in a fashion that bears a striking resemblance to my own Peter & the Dark Wolf saga (oh, will the flattery ever cease!), and presented an interesting test of character to her reading audience.  Me?  I wouldn't have taken any of the money.  But then, I'm a little chicken-shit like that.  I did once steal a $50 mouse from Target (the computer kind, not the rodent) but it was totally accidental ... I forgot to take it out of the cart when I was checking out and the cashier failed to notice it either.

Elsewhere on the blog list, KatConfidential has made a renewed effort at regular updates and it's been far from disappointing.  I took the time and read through a couple of pages of her blog last week (I went back a year or two I think) and was really delighted with the things I found.  I highly recommend a hearty perusal of her blog, but probably the most exciting of material was a recent post titled "smile before smiled at".

To quickly wrap up this post so that you can get on with your blog reading, TheStarvignSoprano updated us on the dramatic and exciting shift of her life and the man that has helped initiate it; Zveshi talks about women and makeup (which I suppose could apply to some guys as well, right?); and Benzone50 recaps his trip to the States and shares of his sons first laptop.

I think we can all agree that new computers are about as awesome as things get.

Well, new computers and new televisions.  Especially when the TV's are 52 inch numbers with full HD.

Yeah, you know what I'm doing this weekend.
