Yesterday ...

I think a lot of people made out well yesterday and at the very top of the list is misspacman08. Here's the story:

At about 9am, Eastern Time (US), Monday morning, Victor (gimmeabreakman) posted the first episode of the Talking Heads: Youtube Rejects miniseries.

In 24 hours, the video got over 1400 views and over 100 comments. If I got those numbers on something I posted on MY channel, I'd be shitting my pants right now.

The trickle-down effect had been substantial. Heather told me that within the first four hours or so, she gained 70 new subscribers. Big doings, for sure, since the episode was about pimping out her channel. I don't know about the specifics of her first 24 hour sub-count, but maybe she'll post it in the comments (pretty please??;)

The comments have been amazing to read. A lot of people are complimenting details in the editing that most hardly even notice (or maybe they just take it for granted). Many people are also attributing the editing to Victor, but hey, it happens.

What it boils down to is this: I've begun to view Victor's channel as more than just a regular youtuber of the partner variety. This man, who I have a great deal of respect for, basically opened the door to his channel for me and my ridiculous show. Gimmeabreakman (as Heather so eloquently put it) gave me quite the break.

By no means does the excitement stop there.

By 6:30, I had a request for more Talking Heads from another respectable youtube partner ... which, once you see how the Youtube Rejects series wraps up, is exactly one of the things I was hoping for. So it was pretty fucking cool to clear that mark on day 1.

Nice work, Kurmbine. I guess Middlebrook and I will have to sit around and flick our dicks until we hear from your holiness again. Do you think that our beards would stick together like Velcro, because as much as the King seems like an arrogant ass, I think I'm going to have to make out with him in order to get any attention these days. Good thing I'm emotionally shallow. Congrats, for real.

A very fine distinction between arrogance and confidence, but I'm with you, man. Moreover, you have every right to be confident.

@Heather:
My eyes are popping right now. Although, now I don't feel THAT insignificant ... the video was about promoting you AND you have boobs. Considering neither of those two facts apply to me, my subscriber take was more than fair.
