I wrote earlier that I was going to be able to spend my evening finishing up that next episode of krumbinesBRAIN (the one that actually goes into personal details) but as it turned out, as one set of plans fell apart, a whole new set manifested. Who knew I could be so sociable? Not that grabbing a pizza and talking politics with my sister is sociable, but it's slightly more than doing nothing.
(I'm just uploading the completed episode now and can I just say that of all the little things Youtube tweaks and changes, this little progress meter they show when you're uploading ... well, it's brilliant. In the past I've had issues with the upload hanging--with a progress bar you can tell if it's stuck or if it's just taking way long. Kudos to Youtube for a much needed update.)
Anyway, when I finally sat down to work on today's episode of krumbinesBRAIN (about 9pm) I clicked on MSNBC to watch the VP debate follow-up as I missed out on my usual lunchtime dose of national news. It was by far more entertaining than the actual the debate itself and a great recap of just how blatantly unqualified Sarah Palin is and (consequently) how desperate McCain was to tap her as VP.
Watching the commentary made editing a challenge, but I got it done. On the eve of the weekend, and after completing 8 episodes of this new show (as well as my tendency to burn myself out when I tackle a new project) I've decided to "restrain" myself to doing episodes only on weekdays. In other words, you can expect (at least) five episodes of krumbinesBRAIN a week and on the weekend (hopefully) some other stuff like Zaphod Zombie. This weekend, though, another break is due.
Lots of interesting stuff is coming up, though, so stay tuned and stay creative!
