I guess most people just take pictures for the hell of taking pictures, huh? Me, I need a cause--a purpose. Well, after the last employee art competition (remember the zombie posters?) I decided that in 2010 I would enter something in the photography category. Which, frankly, is the stupidest thing to do since it's the most heavily trafficked category in the competition. So I knew if I was going to follow through with this plan, I needed a concept that would--to put it simply--kick ass. I think I have that concept, and as you might have guessed, the theme is camera phone pictures. While all the photos I'm sharing on the website here won't end up in the final piece(s), some (if not most) will. Enjoy some of my latest, and let me know what you think in the comments. I've just finished collecting the best of my stories (and a script) and provided an easy-to-navigate index with all of them listed. Check it out and leave a comment! ![]() The following story is completely fictional. If the characters contained within bear any resemblance to persons real or imagined, you should seek therapy because clearly there's something wrong in your head. This is how it ends. There is a cloudy, impenetrable darkness that slowly envelopes you. It immobilizes you and right when the fear begins clenching your chest and tightening your throat, you feel your body relax. The fear washes over you like a tidal wave. It is formidable. Intense. Inevitable. And then it is gone. The darkness is no longer cloudy or murky. It is black and absolute. If life is classified and categorized into unforgettable moments worth living, this is by definition the most poignant. In the end, there is nothing. And there are no words to describe the sensation of being enveloped by this blackness, losing all sense of your body and, in the very last moments, feeling your consciousness slip away from you ... forever. ***When my cell phone vibrated in my pocket, I knew right away that it wasn't going to be good. It's not that I had any ethereal precognition of what was to come, no, I simply never got any phone calls or text messages on my personal phone. I stay busy enough, no doubt, but the vast majority of my incoming communication is through email. And my email comes through on my work Blackberry, not my personal phone. I fished the phone out of my pocket and read the text message. It was from my sister, Haley. She had written: "Theres been an accident. Call asap." Read the rest of the story here!In case you missed it, after the break is a recap of a bunch of videos from YT. Up first is episode 4 of Middlebrook's ACAD (see my review of the episode here), then the latest from SEXKITTENS. Benzon50 has posted the next TWO episodes of Religiously Pizza on the TubeDorks channel and that's shaping up to be a good collab between all of the Tubedorks. (Tripp did awesome as God's Right Hand and I'm very intrigued by the DA--Devil's Advocate, played by Ziggystarla.)
Am I missing someone? Let me know in the comments. Watch the videos by clicking "read more"! Although I recently posted the short story "The Thing In My Shoe", I haven't genuinely written a short story in a little while. "Shoe" was started months upon months ago and I only wrote the last few paragraphs in order to post it at the end of October.
I say that to say this: inspiration has struck. Obsquatch pops in every now and then to re-read one of the earlier shorts I wrote and always comments positively on it. There's a gravity in the story ("The Last Run") that's pretty much unmatched in anything else I've written. Today, I have been inspired to write a new short story that will surely challenge the depths to which the Last Run has explored. Who can we thank for this madness? Who else? Find out after the break! Anybody watch AMC's re-imagining of The Prisoner this week?
Wow. And that's being nice. If you didn't watch it, it's definitely worth checking out. Especially if you've never seen (or heard of) the original Prisoner television show from the dark ages. (Okay, maybe it wasn't the dark ages, but it was certainly a long, long time ago.) The show is repeating this Sunday, or you can grab it online somewhere or you can wait for March to get a DVD. Either way, it's worth checking out. However, since my comments are really about how the show was delivered, try to watch it on Sunday if you can. Continue reading my thoughts on the Prisoner and details about my new show--click "Read More" now! There's been some badass series growing on YouTube and if you've missed them, consider this a big slap upside the head to get your act in gear.
First up is episode 3 of SEXKITTENS, produced by none other than yours truly. We just finished the next three episodes of the show, so look for those starting this Wednesday on my YouTube channel. Check out all the videos after the break! The third issue of EotU is coming soon! (VERY soon!) Previously, we released the comic one page at a time. For this issue, we'll be giving you far larger chunks--if not the whole comic at once. So be sure to brush up on the story so far, cause things'll be getting interesting soon! |
