Also, in response to this:

... I'd point you over here, which breaks it down nicely.  In short, when it comes to "Zombies are People, Too" it can go either way.  As per the suggestion on the linked page (The Grammarphobia Blog), the comma is best used in this situation to greater emphasize the "too", which is absolutely the case for the Zaphod Zombie slogan.

On the other hand, Camo--you raise an excellent point and it was actually something briefly considered when I made the T-Shirt.  See, written out in a blog "Zombies are People, Too" just looks right/better.  Once printed on a T-Shirt:

... the comma tends to look out of place.  I stand by keeping the comma, but perhaps in the revised shirt coming with the Dawn of the Thread campaign, I might off it.  Keep it in the written phrase, but for the purposes of T-Shirt simplicity, cut it out.

At any rate, thanks for pointing it out, buddy!

Ouchies. 10/04/2008

Who the fuck gets headaches in the middle of the night?  Like, here you are, going to bed, and you're fine.  Then, somewhere in the general vicinity of the middle of the night, you find yourself awakened by the fact that YOU HAVE A BLOODY HEADACHE!  WTF???

(and yes, I threw that bloody in there for all my British friends--British?  English?  Ahhhh ... fuck it--I have a headache.)

And since I forgot to link it in the last post, here's the new episode of krumbinesBRAIN:

(if you haven't seen the "Getting Personal" episode, watch that one first.)

I wrote earlier that I was going to be able to spend my evening finishing up that next episode of krumbinesBRAIN (the one that actually goes into personal details) but as it turned out, as one set of plans fell apart, a whole new set manifested.  Who knew I could be so sociable?  Not that grabbing a pizza and talking politics with my sister is sociable, but it's slightly more than doing nothing.

(I'm just uploading the completed episode now and can I just say that of all the little things Youtube tweaks and changes, this little progress meter they show when you're uploading ... well, it's brilliant.  In the past I've had issues with the upload hanging--with a progress bar you can tell if it's stuck or if it's just taking way long.  Kudos to Youtube for a much needed update.)

Anyway, when I finally sat down to work on today's episode of krumbinesBRAIN (about 9pm) I clicked on MSNBC to watch the VP debate follow-up as I missed out on my usual lunchtime dose of national news.  It was by far more entertaining than the actual the debate itself and a great recap of just how blatantly unqualified Sarah Palin is and (consequently) how desperate McCain was to tap her as VP.

Watching the commentary made editing a challenge, but I got it done.  On the eve of the weekend, and after completing 8 episodes of this new show (as well as my tendency to burn myself out when I tackle a new project) I've decided to "restrain" myself to doing episodes only on weekdays.  In other words, you can expect (at least) five episodes of krumbinesBRAIN a week and on the weekend (hopefully) some other stuff like Zaphod Zombie.  This weekend, though, another break is due.

Lots of interesting stuff is coming up, though, so stay tuned and stay creative!

With the rather consistent nature of the krumbinesBRAIN episodes for the past week, when my regular pattern of writing and editing gets interrupted I worry that the entire world will collapse around me.

(Yes, I actually am that self-involved.)

Here's what happened: I wrote my episode at work (#7 for those of you keeping track and the much anticipated follow-up to the whole "Getting Personal" fiasco)--as well as writing a bonus episode (I've been doing that for some reason, writing two at a time).  When I got home, I shot the footage for both episodes, but between company and then THE DEBATE, I only edited about half of episode 7.

The other factor here is that I'm being EXTREMELY argumentative and EXTREMELY repetitive in this upcoming episode.  In other words, while the episode itself will be short, with all of the quick shots rapid lines, it takes a little more time to cut together.

Fortunately, my plans for the evening have lightened substantially so I'll get everything done and posted by day's end.  For everyone complaining about the lack of personal details revealed in the last episode, fear not ... your deepest wants and desires shall be filled shortly--with even more to come as the weeks unfold.

That's all for now.  To the people who are reading and commenting: much love to you all (okay, both of you;) and I wish I had a comment system that allowed a little more interaction (i.e. replying to comments as opposed to commenting in reply--make sense?).  I am seeing your comments and I'm greatly appreciating all the feedback.

Stay creative!

I recorded some 20 minutes of footage to two upcoming episodes of KB and now that I'm sitting down to edit, I discover that there is no audio.

Isn't that great?

And it was good material, too.  A shame I have to redo the whole thing ...
