Despite a lack of blogging here (and, for the first time, a missed update on Zaphod Zombie--egads!), there's actually quite a lot happening in the blog network.

But first: you might not have noticed, but I've been posting Zaphod Zombie on the Explorer of the Unknown's off-days.  This update schedule was never officially set in stone, but it's been consistent for two weeks or so.  Up until now, that is.

So why didn't I post a new strip today?  Mainly because I haven't made it yet.  Oh, sure, the damn thing has been written (I think I have up through 19 written) but I just haven't put together the panels yet.  I would have done it last night--which is generally when I do the panels, the night before--but by the time 9pm hit, I was bushed and decided to take a break.

I've gotten back on the bicycle.  Aggressively, I might add.  In addition, I've also been lifting weights.  On top of the mild physical exhaustion I was feeling last night, I had spent the evening running around and picking up much needed supplies for my eventual reorganization of rooms as well as a new TV.

Yeah, that's right, I bought a new television last night.  It's been something I've been thinking about for a while now and I finally had a substantial amount of cash set aside for the purchase.  My trip to the store (and my subsequent bee-line for the open-box sale items) resulted in a $1500, 52" Samsung 1080p LCD that I purchased for $1000.

The living room is somewhat brighter now.

Of course, this is not the only television in the house, and acquiring this one for the living room meant shuffling all the sets around.  Which explains the rest of my exhaustion and why I ended up calling it an early night and why you don't have a new Zaphod Zombie comic today.

Sorry.

Check out what else is happening in the world of the Horbawrong Blogging Network after the break!

Missed any of the comics this week?  Well, here they are for your immediate consumption.  The last three pages of Explorers of the Unknown are below and Zaphod Zombie is after the break!  You'll be able to find a new EotU page tomorrow morning and expect the next Zaphod Zombie strip on Tuesday.

My to-do list for the day has six videos, eight costume changes, and an ass-load of editing.  Before I can do any of that, however, I need to take a shower.  Sleeping beauty is, well, sleeping, thereby prohibiting me from taking said shower and getting the ball rolling on my weekend of production work.  So instead, I'm writing this.

Explorers of the Unknown
First, I need to draw your attention to the new comics on the EotU and Zaphod Zombie blog.  This week saw three new pages of Explorers of the Unknown which climaxed with Chris coming face-to-face with an irate Tyrannosaurus Rex.  Zaphod Zombie got stripped, went car shopping, and pointed out that you're not born a zombie, but that it's a condition.  You know, like being really, REALLY smart.

Videos and more after the break!

Zaphod Zombie
It's Thursday and in honor of the new Zaphod Zombie comic ("Zaphod Zombie & the Zombie Condition") I wanted cautiously venture forth and try out a new feature for the website, which ties in directly with the comic.

I've been kicking around this idea of blogging relevant zombie news for a few days, and while I haven't come up with a absolute ideal execution of the concept, I figured I could at least use the basics that I have in place and let the idea evolve on its own.

The basics, in short, is that the news blogging is intended to compliment Zaphod Zombie.  This essentially lays the groundwork for spinning Zaphod off onto his own mini-site (just a sub-domain, ideally: "zombies.horbawrong.com").  Additionally, some things are obvious: zombies are people too, so most of the news reporting will also be commentary ... primarily about how zombie stereotypes continue to prevail in an otherwise enlightened society.

Today, we'll take a quick look a story about a guy who was just a little hungry, a website that furthers zombie awareness while at the same time strengthening all the stereotypes we've come to loathe in the enlightened zombie community, and finally a quick glimpse at how popular zombies are really becoming.

All the news is after the break!
